Director's testimony
A personal movie
My son, Daniel, was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder as a teenager, and since then his journey with mental illness has been down a long and difficult path. Let Me Have My Son ends with an expression of hope that Daniel might one day be discharged from the hospital to live in a group home closer to family. That hope - and our prayers - are now being realized in Daniel’s Garden, a labor of love celebrating the profound difference family and community can make in the life of a loved one afflicted with severe mental illness.
